Proposal for Rāma’s Installation as Heir-Apparent
बलमारोग्यमायुश्च रामस्य विदितात्मनः।
देवासुरमनुष्येषु सगन्धर्वोरगेषु च।।2.2.50।।
आशंसते जनस्सर्वो राष्ट्रे पुरवरे तथा।
आभ्यन्तरश्च बाह्यश्च पौरजानपदो जनः।।2.2.51।।
balam ārogyam āyuś ca rāmasya viditātmanaḥ | devāsura-manuṣyeṣu sa-gandharvorageṣu ca || 2.2.50 ||
āśaṃsate janaḥ sarvo rāṣṭre puravare tathā | ābhyantaraś ca bāhyaś ca paura-jānapado janaḥ || 2.2.51 ||
Todos—entre devas, asuras, humanos, gandharvas y nāgas—anhelan para Rama, cuyo mérito es bien conocido, fuerza, salud y larga vida; así también los habitantes de la ciudad y de las aldeas, cercanos y lejanos, en todo el reino y en la capital.
