Transliteration

tathā hy alarkas tejasvī brāhmaṇe vedapārage |

yācamāne svake netre uddhṛtya avimanā dadau ||

Translation

Así también el resplandeciente rey Alarka, cuando un brahmán versado en los Vedas se lo pidió, se arrancó sus propios ojos y los entregó, sin vacilar.
