The Greatness of the Month of Māgha

Māgha-snāna, Harivāsara, and the Kāṣṭhīlā-Upākhyāna

मांसपिंडोपमं श्लक्ष्णं नवनीतोपमं शुभे । शरीरं तव संवीक्ष्य तया मे जायते हृदि ॥ ४ ॥

māṃsapiṃḍopamaṃ ślakṣṇaṃ navanītopamaṃ śubhe | śarīraṃ tava saṃvīkṣya tayā me jāyate hṛdi || 4 ||

Oh bienaventurada, al contemplar tu cuerpo—liso como un trozo de carne, blando como mantequilla fresca—surge en mi corazón, por ello, un vehemente anhelo.
