FAQs

It asserts the intrinsic purifying power of Śukla Ekādaśī: its merit is so strong that it burns sins even without relying on astrological conjunctions, emphasizing vrata as a direct instrument of inner purification.

By highlighting Ekādaśī’s sin-destroying potency, the verse supports the bhakti-oriented practice of observing Ekādaśī for Hari/Vishnu—showing that sincere devotional observance is spiritually effective beyond technical calculations.

It references Jyotiṣa (Vedic astrology) through ṛkṣa/nakṣatra-saṃyoga, teaching that while calendrical factors may be considered, Ekādaśī’s dharmic efficacy is not dependent on a specific nakṣatra-yoga.
