Narrator (Purāṇic narrator describing the scene; within the larger frame traditionally Sūta relates the Purāṇa)
Vrata: none
Rasa: {"primary_rasa":"shanta","secondary_rasa":"adbhuta","emotional_journey":"A sober purpose—doubt-removal—followed by a note of wonder as Mohinī, Brahmā’s daughter, enters the focus."}
It highlights saṃdeha-nivṛtti—approaching qualified authorities specifically to remove doubts—so that dharma and sacred narratives (including tīrtha-māhātmyas) are understood without confusion.
Bhakti matures through śravaṇa (hearing) and clarity; the verse frames the setting where doubts are to be dispelled, enabling steadiness of mind that supports devotion and faithful practice.
The practical takeaway is the Vedāṅga-aligned method of learning: careful listening (śravaṇa) and resolving interpretive doubt—especially relevant to correct understanding of ritual intent and authoritative instruction.
