It emphasizes dharma in household life: even when describing royal power and beauty, the Purana highlights that marriage becomes spiritually valid when performed through vidhi (scripturally enjoined rites).
Indirectly, it supports bhakti by showing that devotion is strengthened when life-events are aligned with dharma—performing samskaras as prescribed is a way of honoring divine order and cultivating sattva for worship.
Kalpa (ritual procedure) is implied through “vidhi-dṛṣṭena karmaṇā,” pointing to correct performance of samskaras like vivaha according to injunctions and established ceremonial rules.
