Nityā-paṭala-prakaraṇa
The Exposition of the Nityā-paṭala
Narada (teaching in a Vedanga/ritual-astrology context)
Vrata: none
Primary Rasa: shanta
Secondary Rasa: adbhuta
It teaches that sincere, properly performed worship of the Devī is not only devotional but also a protective śānti-practice, removing obstructive forces (graha-pīḍā) and restoring well-being.
Bhakti is shown as active upāsanā—propitiating the Goddess with reverent offerings (gandha-ādi) and trusting in her grace to transform suffering into auspiciousness and happiness.
It reflects Jyotiṣa-oriented remedial practice (graha-śānti): planetary afflictions are addressed through prescribed worship and offerings as a ritual solution within the technical sciences.
