The Exposition of the Nityā-paṭala
Narada (teaching in a technical/ritual context within Book 1.3)
Vrata: none
Primary Rasa: bhakti
Secondary Rasa: shanta
It emphasizes centered worship (madhyasthā) of the Supreme Goddess and the principle that her presence is approached along with her śaktis, using pure, efficacious ritual substances and fragrance as sanctifying offerings.
Bhakti here is expressed as reverent, attentive pūjā—honoring the Divine in the heart/center and offering what is pure and pleasing (sugandhi), while recognizing the Goddess along with her manifested energies (śaktis).
It highlights applied ritual procedure: correct placement of the deity (center/maṇḍala logic) and correct selection of dravyas (materials) such as incense/fragrant substances—technical details aligned with ritual discipline rather than abstract theology.
