निग्रहानुग्रहौ कर्तुं क्षमः स्याद्भुवनत्रये । दीर्घस्वरसमेताभ्यां हंसहृभ्द्यां षडंगकम् ॥ १६२ ॥
nigrahānugrahau kartuṃ kṣamaḥ syādbhuvanatraye | dīrghasvarasametābhyāṃ haṃsahṛbhdyāṃ ṣaḍaṃgakam || 162 ||
Llega a ser capaz, en los tres mundos, tanto de refrenar como de otorgar gracia. Al unir las dos sílabas “haṃsa” y “hṛbh” con vocales largas, se indican las seis disciplinas auxiliares (ṣaḍaṅga/vedāṅga).
