Sanatkumara (in instruction to Narada, within Vedanga/ritual-technical teaching)
Vrata: Grahaṇa-kāla observance (eclipse rite)
Primary Rasa: shanta
Secondary Rasa: adbhuta
It treats an eclipse (uparāga) as a ritually potent window and prescribes precise materials and method for preparing an inscribed object, emphasizing disciplined procedure (vidhi) in sacred technical practice.
Bhakti here is expressed through careful observance and sanctified action—using pure, consecrated substances and correct timing—showing devotion as reverent, rule-guided worship rather than mere sentiment.
It highlights applied ritual science tied to astronomical timing (eclipse observance) and the technical method of inscribing sacred forms (likhana) using specified media—an example of procedural knowledge aligned with Vedanga-style discipline.
