The Account of Hanumān
Rugía, saltaba, danzaba, entonaba alabanzas y cantaba.
Sanatkumara (in dialogue with Narada, describing marks of erratic/inauthentic religious behavior)
Vrata: none
Primary Rasa: adbhuta
Secondary Rasa: vira
It cautions that spiritual life is measured by steadiness and discipline, not by dramatic outward displays; erratic behavior signals a lack of inner restraint (dama) and genuine tapas.
It implies that true bhakti is not mere performance (singing, praising, dancing) done impulsively for show; devotion becomes authentic when grounded in humility, self-control, and consistent dharma.
The verse supports practical discernment aligned with dharma-śāstric and vedāṅga-informed standards of sadācāra—evaluating a practitioner by regulated conduct rather than external excitement.
