Narrator (Purāṇic narrator in the Narada Purana’s frame narrative)
Vrata: none
Primary Rasa: shanta
Secondary Rasa: bhakti
It highlights sadācāra (right conduct): honoring the guru and one’s mother through pradakṣiṇā and praṇāma before undertaking any purposeful journey or duty.
Bhakti is expressed as reverence and surrender in action—showing devotion through respectful gestures toward the spiritually guiding sage and the life-giving mother, then proceeding as instructed.
It reflects śrauta-smārta etiquette rather than a specific Vedāṅga: the disciplined protocol of respectful circumambulation and salutations as part of dhārmic practice before commencing an assigned task.
