Narada (teaching śrāddha-dharma in an instructional discourse)
Vrata: none
Primary Rasa: shanta
Secondary Rasa: none
It teaches that śrāddha is a purity-sensitive pitṛ rite: mental calm (freedom from anger/quarrel) and bodily restraint (no sex, burdens, daytime sleep, or disruptive travel) protect the sanctity and efficacy of the offering.
By emphasizing self-restraint and sattvic conduct during sacred duties, it supports bhakti indirectly: disciplined ācāra steadies the mind, making ritual acts and remembrance of the divine more focused and reverent.
Kalpa (ritual procedure) and ācāra guidance are implied: the verse lists do’s-and-don’ts for śrāddha participants, reflecting practical ritual discipline rather than grammar or astrology.
