Así, tras ofrecer debidamente a Señor Viṣṇu el auspicioso voto de un mes, desde entonces debe uno morar en el templo de Hari hasta el fin del mes.
Sanatkumāra (in instruction to Nārada)
Vrata: viṣṇu-māsa-vrata (month-long vow to Viṣṇu)
Primary Rasa: shanta
Secondary Rasa: bhakti
It emphasizes that a vow (vrata) becomes spiritually complete when it is consciously dedicated to Viṣṇu and sustained with disciplined devotion—symbolized by living in Hari’s temple through the vow’s full duration.
Bhakti is shown as continuous presence and remembrance: after offering the vow to Viṣṇu, the devotee maintains proximity to the deity (temple residence), reinforcing steady worship, service, and single-minded devotion until the vrata ends.
Ritual discipline and timing are implied: the vrata is observed for a full month up to its “māsānta” (month-end), reflecting practical calendrical observance (Jyotiṣa-based reckoning) and proper ritual procedure (kalpa-style vrata conduct).
