FAQs

It teaches sadācāra (upright conduct) and self-restraint: avoiding impure or unsuitable dwelling places and avoiding behavior that invites suspicion or loss of dignity—disciplines that support inner purity and dharma.

Bhakti is strengthened by purity of conduct (ācāra-śuddhi). By restraining impulsive or socially improper actions, the mind becomes steadier and more fit for remembrance of the Divine and disciplined worship.

It reflects dharma-śāstric application of śāstra-based conduct (nīti/sadācāra). While not a technical Vedāṅga lesson, it aligns with the practical discipline that supports ritual propriety and mantra-japa through mental and social restraint.
