Dharmānukathana
Narration of Dharma
Sanatkumara (teaching Narada in the dana-mahatmya context)
Vrata: none
Primary Rasa: shanta
Secondary Rasa: adbhuta
It teaches the dharmic principle that properly offered dana bears specific karmic fruits (phala), leading to widespread well-being and favorable rebirth-experiences.
Though not explicitly about bhakti, it supports bhakti-culture by emphasizing sattvic giving; dana performed with reverence becomes an offering aligned with devotion and dharma.
It reflects kalpa/ritual reasoning: different prescribed gifts (ratna-dana, aśva-dana) are linked to distinct results, guiding practical dharmic conduct.
