Vāmana’s Advent, Aditi’s Hymn, Bali’s Gift, and the Mahatmya of Bhū-dāna

Aquel por quien se otorga la tierra, provista de caña de azúcar, trigo, legumbres, palmeras de areca y otros árboles, ése es ciertamente Viṣṇu; de ello no hay duda.
Sanatkumara (teaching Narada)
Vrata: none
Primary Rasa: bhakti
Secondary Rasa: shanta
It identifies Viṣṇu as the sustaining divine principle behind the earth’s fertility and food supply, teaching that nourishment is ultimately a gift of the Lord, not merely a human achievement.
By pointing to everyday sustenance—crops and trees—as Viṣṇu’s grace, it cultivates bhakti through gratitude, remembrance, and offering food as naivedya before consumption.
It implicitly aligns with Kalpa (ritual practice) and Dharma: food is to be received as sacred, offered, and shared (anna-dāna), reflecting disciplined conduct around eating and sacrifice.
