Jyotiṣa-saṅgraha: Varga-vibhāga, Bala-nirṇaya, Garbha-phala, Āyuḥ-gaṇanā
लग्नायुरंशास्त्रिगुणा दिग्भिक्ता स्युः समास्ततः । शेषेऽर्कादिगुणे भक्ते दिग्भर्मासादिकं भवेत् ॥ १३४ ॥
lagnāyuraṃśāstriguṇā digbhiktā syuḥ samāstataḥ | śeṣe'rkādiguṇe bhakte digbharmāsādikaṃ bhavet || 134 ||
Los grados del ascendente (lagna) y los de la vida han de triplicarse y luego dividirse según las direcciones; el cociente resultante da la medida total. Del resto, al dividirlo por los factores del Sol y de los demás planetas, se obtienen las divisiones direccionales, comenzando por el «bhāga direccional».
