Jyotiṣa-śāstra Saṅgraha: Threefold Division, Gaṇita Methods, Muhūrta, and Planetary Reckoning
Sanatkumara (teaching Narada in a technical Vedanga-style section)
Vrata: none
Primary Rasa: shanta
Secondary Rasa: adbhuta
It frames Jyotiṣa as disciplined knowledge (a Vedāṅga-style method) where orderly calculation mirrors dharma: right understanding comes from correct procedure, not guesswork.
Indirectly: by validating sacred technical learning, it supports a life of regulated practice where accurate timing and right conduct can be aligned with devotional observances.
Vedāṅga Jyotiṣa/gaṇita: dividing by mean motion (madhyagati), using bhagaṇa-based cycles, and accumulating manda/śīghra-type corrections for planetary motion.
