खरवेंदुरामविहतं मानं द्रोणादिवारिणः । विस्तारायामवेधानांमंगुल्योन्यनाडिघ्नाः ॥ ५३ ॥
kharaveṃdurāmavihataṃ mānaṃ droṇādivāriṇaḥ | vistārāyāmavedhānāṃmaṃgulyonyanāḍighnāḥ || 53 ||
La medida estándar de los líquidos—comenzando por el droṇa—se fija mediante un cómputo establecido. Y para las medidas de anchura, longitud y perforación (profundidad), las unidades se basan en el aṅgula (ancho del dedo) y en subdivisiones sucesivas, hasta el nāḍī que armoniza las discrepancias mutuas.
