Vyākaraṇa-saṅgraha: Pada–Vibhakti–Kāraka–Lakāra–Samāsa
बुद्धिभक्षार्थयोः शब्दकर्मकाणां निजेच्छया । प्रयोज्य कर्मण्यन्येषां ण्यंतानां लादयो मताः ॥ ८७ ॥
buddhibhakṣārthayoḥ śabdakarmakāṇāṃ nijecchayā | prayojya karmaṇyanyeṣāṃ ṇyaṃtānāṃ lādayo matāḥ || 87 ||
En los verbos cuyo sentido es ‘hacer saber’ o ‘hacer comer’, y en aquellos que toman como objeto una palabra enunciada, puede emplearse a voluntad el causativo (ṇyanta). Y también para otros verbos, se entiende que las terminaciones la- (la-ādi) se aplican a esas formas causativas cuando se usan con el sentido de hacer que otro realice una acción.
