Pulastya’s Tīrtha Enumeration: Sarasvatī, Naimiṣa, Gayā, and Associated Phalaśruti
Chapter 82
The verse teaches that sincere reverence—expressed through approaching a sacred tīrtha and bowing to Pitāmaha—yields great spiritual merit, comparable to the celebrated dharmic act of donating a thousand cows; it elevates humility and devotion as ethically transformative.
The speaker describes the merit associated with visiting the famed tīrtha called Śrīkuṇḍa and offering homage to Pitāmaha there, presenting it as a specific pilgrimage observance with a defined puṇya-result.
