ऋचतुपर्ण उवाच
The verse highlights royal dharma expressed through hospitality and proper provision for a dependent: a ruler ensures steady support and companionship for one who enters his service, emphasizing care, stability, and respectful treatment.
King Ṛtupārṇa addresses Bāhuka (Nala in disguise), assuring him that two attendants/charioteers—Vārṣṇeya and Jīvāla—will serve him regularly, and inviting him to remain in Ṛtupārṇa’s household, where he will live comfortably.
