दत्तरक्षाप्रतिसरामन्वालम्भनशो भनाम्‌ । ऊर्मीतरज्जैर्जाह्विव्या: समानीतामुपह्दरम्‌,पिटारीके ऊपर उसकी रक्षाके लिये लता लपेट दी गयी थी और सिन्दूरका लेप लगा होनेसे उसकी बड़ी शोभा हो रही थी। गंगाकी तरंगोंके थपेड़े खाकर वह पिटारी तटके समीप आ लगी

Transliteration

dattarakṣāpratisarām anvālambhanaśobhanām | ūrmītarajjair jāhnavyāḥ samānītām upahradam ||

Translation

Vaiśampāyana dijo: «El cofre, asegurado con ataduras protectoras y embellecido por los amarres y adornos de su cierre, fue arrastrado por el río Jāhnavī. Golpeado y tironeado por las olas como por cuerdas, fue llevado cerca de la orilla, hacia la ribera.»
