तावाश्रमान् नदीश्वैव वनानि च सरांसि च | तस्यां निशि विचिन्वन्तौ दम्पती परिजग्मतु:,वे दोनों पति-पत्नी उस रातमें पुत्रकी खोज करते हुए विभिन्न आश्रमों, नदीके तटों तथा वनों और सरोवरोंमें भ्रमण करने लगे
tāv āśramān nadīṣu eva vanāni ca sarāṃsi ca | tasyāṃ niśi vicinvantau dampatī parijagmatuḥ ||
Mārkaṇḍeya dijo: «Aquella noche, el esposo y la esposa, buscando por todas partes a su hijo, vagaron por eremitorios, a lo largo de las riberas, y a través de bosques y lagos, impulsados por un amor ansioso y una resolución firme».
मार्कण्डेय उवाच
The verse highlights steadfast effort (udyama) and responsible attachment: when a dependent is missing, one should not succumb to despair but act diligently, seeking help across all possible places, guided by care and duty.
Mārkaṇḍeya narrates that a married couple spends the night roaming widely—through hermitages, riverbanks, forests, and lakes—actively searching for their lost son.
