स सर्वनाश्रमान् गत्वा शैब्यया सह भार्यया । पुत्रहेतो: परामार्ति जगाम भरतर्षभ,भरतश्रेष्ठ] वे अपनी पत्नी शैब्याके साथ सभी आश्रमोंमें जाकर पुत्रका पता लगाने लगे। उस समय उन्हें सत्यवानके लिये बड़ी वेदना हो रही थी
sa sarvān āśramān gatvā śaibyayā saha bhāryayā | putra-hetoḥ parām ārtiṁ jagāma bharatarṣabha ||
Oh toro entre los Bharatas, fue a todos los eremitorios junto con su esposa Śaibyā, impulsado por el afán de hallar a su hijo; y en esa búsqueda cayó en una angustia profunda, atormentado por el dolor por Satyavān.
