Sūrya-stava: Dhaumya’s Counsel and the Aṣṭaśata-nāma of Sūrya
गुहाया: पितृगणा: सप्त ये दिव्या ये च मानुषा: । ते पूजयित्वा त्वामेव गच्छन्त्याशु प्रधानताम्,श्रेष्ठ विद्याधरगण दिव्य मन्दार-कुसुमोंकी मालाओंसे आपकी पूजा करके सफलमनोरथ हो तुरंत आपके समीप पहुँच जाते हैं। गुह्यक, सातः प्रकारके पितृगण तथा दिव्य मानव (सनकादि) आपकी ही पूजा करके श्रेष्ठ पदको प्राप्त करते हैं। वसुगण, मरुदगण, रुद्र, साध्य तथा आपकी किरणोंका पान करनेवाले वालखिल्य आदि सिद्ध महर्षि आपकी ही आराधनासे सब प्राणियोंमें श्रेष्ठ हुए हैं
guhāyāḥ pitṛgaṇāḥ sapta ye divyā ye ca mānuṣāḥ | te pūjayitvā tvām eva gacchanty āśu pradhānatām ||
Dijo Yudhiṣṭhira: «Las siete clases de Pitṛs—sean divinos o humanos—te adoran a ti solo, y por esa adoración alcanzan con presteza la preeminencia. Así, todas las venerables órdenes que te honran llegan a la más alta condición.»
