Sūrya-stava: Dhaumya’s Counsel and the Aṣṭaśata-nāma of Sūrya
त्रयस्त्रिंशच्च वै देवास्तथा वैमानिका गणा: । सोपेन्द्रा: समहेन्द्राश्न॒ त्वामिष्टवा सिद्धिमागता:,तैंतीसः देवता एवं विमानचारी सिद्धगण भी उपेन्द्र तथा महेन्द्रसाहित आपकी आराधना करके सिद्धिको प्राप्त हुए हैं
trayastrīṁśac ca vai devās tathā vaimānikā gaṇāḥ | sopendrāḥ samaheन्द्रāś ca tvām iṣṭvā siddhim āgatāḥ ||
Los treinta y tres dioses, y asimismo las huestes de seres celestes que viajan en vimānas—junto con Upendra e incluso con Mahendra—te han adorado, y por esa adoración alcanzaron la siddhi, la consumación espiritual.
युधिछिर उवाच
The verse emphasizes that sincere worship and reverence toward the worthy (here addressed as “you”) is a direct means to siddhi—true attainment—so powerful that even the highest gods are described as achieving perfection through it.
Yudhiṣṭhira is offering exalted praise, stating that the thirty-three gods and celestial hosts, along with Upendra and Indra, have worshipped the addressed figure and attained siddhi—thereby magnifying that figure’s spiritual eminence and the efficacy of devotion.
