मार्कण्डेय उवाच तमुवाच पिता भूय: प्रहृष्टो भरतर्षभ । गच्छायो ध्यां प्रशाधीति राम॑ रक्तान्तलोचनम्
Mārkaṇḍeya uvāca: tam uvāca pitā bhūyaḥ prahṛṣṭo bharatarṣabha | gacchāyodhyāṃ praśādhīti rāmaṃ raktāntalocanam ||
Dijo Mārkaṇḍeya: Entonces su padre, de nuevo colmado de júbilo, le dijo: «Oh toro entre los Bharatas, ve a Ayodhyā y asume el gobierno». Así se dirigió a Rāma, cuyos ojos enrojecían en las comisuras—señal de honda emoción aun cuando se le imponía el deber.
मार्कण्डेय उवाच
