Adhiratha-Rādhā Discover the Casket; Vasuṣeṇa (Karṇa) is Adopted and Formed
The verse highlights dharmic comportment: reverence toward the divine (namaskāra to the devas) naturally invites the approval and support of virtuous companions (suhṛd). Humility and devotion are shown as socially and ethically strengthening.
In Markandeya’s narration, a figure first offers salutations to the gods and then receives congratulations from his friends and well-wishers, marking a transition after a significant act or decision with auspicious acknowledgment.
