Adhiratha-Rādhā Discover the Casket; Vasuṣeṇa (Karṇa) is Adopted and Formed
राम उवाच अभिवादये त्वां राजेन्द्र यदि त्वं जनको मम । गमिष्यामि पुरी रम्यामयोध्यां शासनात् तव,श्रीरामचन्द्रजीने कहा--राजेन्द्र! यदि आप मेरे पिता हैं तो मैं आपको प्रणाम करता हूँ। आपकी आज्ञासे अब मैं रमणीय अयोध्यापुरीको लौट जाऊँगा
rāma uvāca | abhivādaye tvāṃ rājendra yadi tvaṃ janako mama | gamiṣyāmi purīṃ ramyām ayodhyāṃ śāsanāt tava ||
Rama dijo: «Oh el mejor de los reyes, si en verdad eres mi padre, me inclino ante ti. Por tu mandato, partiré ahora hacia la hermosa ciudad de Ayodhyā».
राम उवाच
The verse foregrounds dharma through respectful conduct and obedience: Rama honors rightful authority (addressing the king as father) and commits to act according to the elder’s command, presenting humility and duty as ethical ideals.
Rama addresses a king (identified as Janaka if truly his father), offers formal salutation, and declares his intention to return to Ayodhya in accordance with that king’s instruction.
