दशरथ उवाच प्रीतो5स्मि वत्स भद्गं ते पिता दशरथो<स्मि ते । अनुजानामि राज्यं च प्रशाधि पुरुषोत्तम,दशरथजी बोले--वत्स! मैं तुम्हारा पिता दशरथ हूँ, तुमपर बहुत प्रसन्न हूँ, तुम्हारा कल्याण हो। पुरुषोत्तम! मैं तुम्हें आज्ञा देता हूँ कि अब तुम अयोध्याका राज्य करो
daśaratha uvāca—prīto ’smi vatsa bhadraṁ te pitā daśaratho ’smi te | anujānāmi rājyaṁ ca praśādhi puruṣottama ||
Daśaratha dijo, complacido: «Hijo mío, estoy satisfecho contigo. Que el bien te alcance. Yo soy tu padre, Daśaratha. Te concedo permiso para asumir la realeza: gobierna el reino, oh el mejor de los hombres».
