The verse highlights dharmic conduct through reverence: honoring a spiritually and morally eminent person (here Kṛṣṇa) with worship, and approaching guidance with humility and collective attentiveness. It also reflects the ethic of proper reception—pūjā and respectful seating—before seeking counsel.
Vaiśampāyana narrates that the Pāṇḍavas, along with their wives and their priest, perform worship of Kṛṣṇa (called ‘lotus-eyed’) and then sit around him, encircling him as an honored center, indicating readiness to hear his words or receive his support.
