Gandhamādana-praveśa and the Sudden Storm (गन्धमादनप्रवेशः — चण्डवातवर्षवर्णनम्)
सैषा वसुमती कृत्स्ना योजनानां शतं गता । किमेतद् कि प्रभावेण येनेदं व्याकुलं जगत् । अख्यातु नो भवान् शीघ्र विसंज्ञा: स्मेह सर्वश:,“यह सारी पृथ्वी सैकड़ों योजन नीचे चली गयी थी, अब यह किसके प्रभावसे कौन-सी अद्भुत घटना घटित हो रही है जिससे सारा संसार व्याकुल हो उठा है। आप शीजत्र हमें इसका कारण बताइये। हम सब लोग अचेत-से हो रहे हैं"
saiṣā vasumatī kṛtsnā yojanānāṁ śataṁ gatā | kim etad ki prabhāveṇa yenedaṁ vyākulaṁ jagat | ākhyātu no bhavān śīghraṁ visaṁjñāḥ sma iha sarvaśaḥ |
Dijo Lomaśa: «Esta tierra entera se ha hundido cien yojanas. ¿Qué es esto? ¿Por el poder de quién ha ocurrido un prodigio tal, que ha puesto al mundo entero en agitación? Dinos pronto la causa; todos nosotros estamos quedando como sin sentido».
