सांख्ययोगभेदः तथा योगबलोपदेशः
Sāṃkhya–Yoga Distinction and Instruction on Yogic Strength
विज्ञातरूप: स तदा तपःसिद्धो 5थ धन्विना । ज्ञात्वा शूलं च देवेश: पाणिना समनामयत्
vijñātarūpaḥ sa tadā tapaḥsiddho ’tha dhanvinā | jñātvā śūlaṃ ca deveśaḥ pāṇinā samamānamayat ||
Bhīṣma dijo: Entonces el Señor de los dioses, Śiva, al reconocerlo en esa misma forma como a quien había sido perfeccionado por la austeridad, y al percibirlo apostado sobre el tridente, inclinó suavemente el tridente con su propia mano. El episodio muestra cómo el poder divino responde al verdadero tapas: reconoce la realización espiritual y contiene la fuerza con una acción medida y deliberada, no con daño innecesario.
