धनाधिपत्यं सख्यं च रुद्रेणामिततेजसा । सुरत्वं लोकपालत्वं पुत्र च नलकूबरम्
dhanādhipatyaṃ sakhyaṃ ca rudreṇāmitatejasā | suratvaṃ lokapālatvaṃ putra ca nalakūbaram ||
Dijo Vaiśampāyana: Obtuvo el señorío de la riqueza y la amistad de Rudra, de esplendor inconmensurable; alcanzó también condición divina y el cargo de guardián del mundo, y tuvo por hijo a Nalakūbara.
वैशम्पायन उवाच
The verse presents wealth, authority, and cosmic office as outcomes tied to divine connection and favor—suggesting that power and prosperity are ideally grounded in alignment with higher order and relationship with the divine, not merely personal ambition.
Vaiśampāyana lists the attainments granted/secured: dominion over wealth, friendship with Rudra, divine status, the role of a world-guardian, and the begetting of a son named Nalakūbara—framing these as notable rewards or elevations in status.
