Deliberation on the Rajasuya and the Summoning of Kṛṣṇa

Educational Q&A

Honoring the worthy through generous giving—especially to learned brāhmaṇas—brings blessings that manifest as tejas (moral-spiritual power) and yaśas (good fame), making a ruler truly eminent beyond mere wealth or force.

Nārada describes how King Hariścandra satisfied brāhmaṇas with abundant foods, desired gifts, and heaps of jewels; pleased, they bestowed blessings on him, and as a result he became more illustrious and renowned than other kings.
