हयानन्ये गजानन्ये रथानन्ये महारथा: । आरुहा जवसम्पन्ना: पदातीन् प्रजहुर्भयात्
hayān anye gajān anye rathān anye mahārathāḥ | ārūhya javasampannāḥ padātīn prajahur bhayāt ||
Dijo Sañjaya: Unos montaron caballos, otros elefantes, y otros grandes guerreros de carro subieron a sus carros. Impulsados por el miedo, huyeron a gran velocidad, abandonando a la infantería en el campo.
