तेषामापततां पार्थमाराव: सुमहानभूत् । सागरस्येव क्षुब्धस्य यथा स्यात् सलिलस्वन:,पार्थपर आक्रमण करते हुए उन सैनिकोंका महान् कोलाहल विकश्षुब्ध समुद्रके झलकी गम्भीर ध्वनिके समान सब ओर गूँज उठा
teṣām āpatatāṃ pārtham ārāvaḥ sumahān abhūt | sāgarasyeva kṣubdhasya yathā syāt salilasvanaḥ ||
Sañjaya dijo: Cuando aquellos guerreros se abalanzaron para acometer a Pārtha (Arjuna), se alzó por doquier un estruendo inmenso—hondo y resonante, como el bramido de las aguas cuando el océano es violentamente agitado. El verso subraya el ímpetu arrollador de la guerra: la agresión colectiva crece hasta volverse una fuerza capaz de ahogar el discernimiento, poniendo a prueba la firmeza y el dharma en medio del caos.
