एवं दुःशासनबलं वध्यमानं किरीटिना । सम्प्राद्रवन्महाराज व्यथितं सहनायकम्,महाराज! इस प्रकार किरीटधारी अर्जुनकी मार खाकर अत्यन्त व्यथित हुई दुःशासनकी सेना अपने नायकसहित भाग चली
evaṁ duḥśāsana-balaṁ vadhyamānaṁ kirīṭinā | samprādravan mahārāja vyathitaṁ saha-nāyakam ||
Sañjaya dijo: «Oh Rey, así la hueste de Duḥśāsana—segada por Arjuna, el de la diadema—quedó por completo sacudida y, junto con sus jefes, rompió filas y huyó. En la lógica moral de la batalla, este instante muestra cómo la agresión de un caudillo se derrumba al enfrentarse a una destreza superior y a una resistencia disciplinada, y cómo el miedo se propaga por un ejército cuando caen sus protectores.»
