Dhṛtarāṣṭra–Saṃjaya Dialogue; Account of Sātyaki vs Alambusa
The verse highlights how anger (amarṣa) can propel a warrior into aggressive action, yet the ideal of kṣatriya conduct still demands alertness and skill: Sātyaki meets a wrathful charge with measured, effective response. It implicitly contrasts uncontrolled fury with disciplined martial competence.
Sañjaya describes Kṛtavarmā, furious, moving to surround and restrain Sātyaki. As Kṛtavarmā charges, Sātyaki counters immediately by striking him with six arrows, halting or checking the oncoming assault.
