सम्पूर्ण भूपाल पाण्डुनन्दन अर्जुनपर बाणसमूहोंकी वर्षा कर रहे थे, तो भी शत्रुवीरोंका संहार करनेवाले इन्द्रकुमार धर्मात्मा पार्थ तनिक भी व्यथित नहीं हुए ।।
sañjaya uvāca | sampūrṇaṁ bhūpālāḥ pāṇḍunandanaṁ arjunaṁ prati bāṇasamūhānāṁ varṣāṁ kurvantaḥ, tathāpi śatruvīrāṇāṁ saṁhārakaro indrakuṁāro dharmātmā pārthaḥ tanikāṁ api vyathāṁ na jagāma || sa tāni śarajālāni gadāḥ prāsāṁś ca vīryavān āgatān agrasat pārthaḥ saritaḥ sāgaro yathā ||
Dijo Sañjaya: Aunque los reyes reunidos derramaban una lluvia de flechas sobre Arjuna, el hijo de Pāṇḍu, el justo Pārtha—hijo de Indra, destructor de campeones hostiles—no se turbó ni un ápice. Aquel guerrero poderoso se tragó esas redes de flechas que venían, y también las mazas y las lanzas, como el océano recibe a los ríos.
