दुद्रुवु: समरे भीष्म समुद्यतमहायुधा: । द्रौपदीके पाँचों पुत्र और अभिमन्यु भी महान् अस्त्र-शस्त्र लिये उस समरांगणमें भीष्मकी ही ओर दौड़े ।। ते सर्वे दृढ्धन्वान: संयुगेष्वपलायिन:

dudruvuḥ samare bhīṣmaṃ samudyata-mahāyudhāḥ |
draupadīke pāñca putrāḥ abhimanyuś ca mahān astra-śastra-dharo 'pi tasmin samarāṅgaṇe bhīṣmasyaiva abhidadruvuḥ ||
te sarve dṛḍha-dhanvānaḥ saṃyugeṣv apalāyinaḥ ||
Dijo Sañjaya: En aquella batalla, los guerreros que empuñaban grandes armas corrieron hacia Bhīṣma. Los cinco hijos de Draupadī, y también Abhimanyu—cada cual armado con poderosos proyectiles y armas—atravesaron el campo y se lanzaron de frente contra Bhīṣma. Todos eran firmes con el arco, y en combate no eran hombres de volverse atrás.
