निर्मनुष्यान् रथान् राजन् सुयुक्ताञ्जवनैहयै: । वातायमानानद्राक्षं द्वियमाणान् विशाम्पते
sañjaya uvāca | nirmanuṣyān rathān rājan suyuktāñ javanaiḥ hayaiḥ | vātāyamānān adrākṣaṃ dvyamāṇān viśāmpate ||
Dijo Sañjaya: Oh Rey, vi muchos carros sin hombres en ellos, bien uncidos a caballos veloces. Como si el viento los empujara, eran arrastrados y arremolinados en distintas direcciones, oh señor del pueblo: un presagio funesto que mostraba el caos y el terror que desata la guerra cuando se derrumban el orden y el dominio humano.
