अब्भक्षेवायुभक्षैश्न शैवलोत्तरभोजनै: । अश्मकुट्टैस्तथा दान्तै: सम्प्रक्षालैस्तथापरै:

Transliteration

abbhakṣevāyubhakṣaiś ca śaivalottarabhojanaiḥ | aśmakuttaiś tathā dāntaiḥ samprakṣālaiś tathāparaiḥ ||

Translation

Maheshvara dijo: «Unos viven sólo de agua; otros, como si se alimentaran únicamente de aire; otros subsisten con algas y con un sustento tan escaso como ése. Algunos soportan austeridades como si masticaran piedras; otros viven con los sentidos refrenados y purificados por lavados repetidos y otras disciplinas».
