उग्रश्रवाः सूतः नैमिषारण्ये — Sauti at Naimiṣāraṇya

सत्यवादी शमपरस्तपस्वी नियतव्रतः । सर्वेषामेव नो मान्य: स तावत्‌ प्रतिपाल्यताम्‌,उग्रश्रवाजीके द्वारा महाभारतकी कथा वे सदा सत्य बोलनेवाले, मन और इन्द्रियोंके संयममें तत्पर, तपस्वी और नियमपूर्वक व्रतको निबाहनेवाले हैं। वे हम सभी लोगोंके लिये सम्माननीय हैं; अतः जबतक उनका आना न हो, तबतक प्रतीक्षा कीजिये

Transliteration

satyavādī śamaparas tapasyī niyatavrataḥ | sarveṣām eva no mānyaḥ sa tāvat pratipālyatām ||

Translation

Uttanka dijo: «Es veraz, entregado a la serenidad interior y al dominio de sí, asceta y firme en la disciplina de sus votos. Es digno de honor por parte de todos nosotros; por ello, que se le espere y se le reciba: aguardad hasta que llegue».
