भीष्मो बुद्धिमदान्महाां कुलस्यास्य विवृद्धये । साच बुद्धिस्त्वय्यधीना पुत्रि प्रापपय मां तथा
Vaiśampāyana uvāca: bhīṣmo buddhimān mahān kulasyāsya vivṛddhaye | sā ca buddhis tvayy adhīnā putri prāpaya māṃ tathā ||
Vaiśampāyana dijo: «Bhīṣma, sabio y magnánimo, ha propuesto un plan para el crecimiento y la continuidad de este linaje. Pero, hija, el éxito de ese consejo está en tus manos. Por tanto, llévame a tal condición —tal como Bhīṣma ha señalado— para que yo vea cumplirse lo que se busca.»
वैशम्पायन उवाच
