Una nālikā se (mide) por el orificio de una vasija: el orificio tiene un tamaño de cuatro suvarṇa-māṣaka y una longitud de cuatro aṅgula; alternativamente, el caudal (o la medida) es de un āḍhaka de agua: eso constituye una nālikā.

If time is measured by calibrated devices (orifice size/length or fixed water volume), officials cannot easily stretch or shrink ‘official time’ to favor parties or evade duties.
