दुर्ल्लभस्तत्र वासस्तु दुर्ल्लभं भवदर्शनम् । प्रेतत्वं नैव तस्यास्ति न याम्या नारकी व्यथा
durllabhastatra vāsastu durllabhaṃ bhavadarśanam | pretatvaṃ naiva tasyāsti na yāmyā nārakī vyathā
Rare indeed is dwelling there, and rare is the darśana of Bhava (Śiva). For one who attains it, there is no state of preta; no torment of Yama, nor the suffering of hell.
Narrator (contextual Purāṇic voice)
Tirtha: Vastrāpatha residence and Bhava-darśana
Type: kshetra
Scene: A contemplative scene: a devotee receives Bhava’s darśana; behind, shadowy figures of preta and Yama’s attendants dissolve into light, indicating release from yāmya/nāraka torment; the kṣetra appears serene and protected.
Śiva’s darśana in a great kṣetra is portrayed as a safeguard that removes fear of post-death suffering and lower destinies.
Vastrāpatha-kṣetra, where residence and Bhava-darśana are declared rare and supremely protective.
No specific rite beyond attaining Bhava-darśana (and implicitly living/sojourning there).
