gauryuvāca | adyaprabhṛti sarvā vaḥ samaṃ drakṣyati rātripaḥ | prasādānmama cārvaṃgyo naitanmithyā bhaviṣyati
Gaurī said: From today onward, the king—your husbands—will look upon all of you equally. By my grace, O lovely-limbed ones, this shall not be false.
Gaurī (Pārvatī)
Tirtha: Prabhāsa-kṣetra (contextual)
Type: kshetra
Listener: A group of women (implied)
Scene: Gaurī, radiant and compassionate, addresses a group of women, granting a boon that brings equal regard from their husband/king; the setting evokes a sacred coastal kṣetra atmosphere of Prabhāsa.
Divine prasāda restores harmony and dignity; Devī’s truthfulness (satya-saṅkalpa) is affirmed as unfailing.
Prabhāsa-kṣetra, where Gaurī is praised as directly bestowing relational and social well-being.
The verse itself gives a boon; the connected practice is Gaurī worship at Prabhāsa leading to Devī’s prasāda.
